For this session we will follow up the interesting conversations that started at the Ume\u00e5 Academy of Fine Arts\u2019 research seminar a couple of weeks ago where Dr. Malin Arnell did a super enlightening presentation of her Phd on the topic of\u00a0Why do we engage with artistic research<\/em>. That same day a debate article\u00a0Statstrogna konstn\u00e4rer utan publik- Statens v\u00e4xande satsning p\u00e5 h\u00f6gskoleanknuten konstn\u00e4rlig forskning riskerar att ber\u00f6va konsten b\u00e5de dess lockelse och dess frihet<\/em>\u00a0came out in the\u00a0journal Respons<\/a>\u00a0by Lyra Ekstr\u00f6m Lindb\u00e4ck taking the lead in the questione whether artistic research is important at all?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u00b4s get together and talk more about this burning topic. UmArts Deputy Director Ylva Fernaeus, Associate Professor at Ume\u00e5 Institute of Design will lead the conversation.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
