This years exhibition, selected by the Embassy committee, features the work of former student <a title=\"http:\/\/mahayleyish.wordpress.com\" href=\"http:\/\/mahayleyish.wordpress.com\"><strong>Hayley Mathers<\/strong><\/a>. Hayley, who was\u00a0 featured on this site earlier this year, (<strong><a title=\"http:\/\/contemporaryartetc.com\/2010\/06\/16\/graduate-profiles-etc%E2%80%A6-hayley-mathers\/\" href=\"http:\/\/contemporaryartetc.com\/2010\/06\/16\/graduate-profiles-etc%E2%80%A6-hayley-mathers\/\">see Graduate Profiles ETC&#8230;<\/a><\/strong>) graduated from the Fine Art dept at Edinburgh&#8217;s Telford having studied for 2 years on the HND programme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy time at Telford provided me with an excellent background in contemporary art which was invaluable in helping me succeed at art college. As well as meeting a great group of people, the HND course built up my confidence and gave me the skills to develop my practice independently and get the most out of my degree.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hayley progressed directly into year 2 of the Fine Art Degree course at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee where she gained a 1st Class Honours Degree.<\/p>\n<p>Meat Force opens this Friday\u00a0 7pm &#8211; 9pm at EMBASSY<\/p>\n<p>located in the tower of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roxyarthouse.org\/\">Roxy Art House,<\/a> 2 Roxburgh Pl, Edinburgh, EH8 9SU<\/p>\n<p>The Exhibition runs:<\/p>\n<p>18.09.10 \u2013 03.10.10<br \/>\nopen Thursday \u2013 Sunday 12-6pm<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Opening this weekend at Embassy Gallery &#8216;Meat Force&#8217; features selected and specially commissioned work of artists who have graduated from the the four Scottish art colleges.
