{"id":158,"date":"2007-03-08T19:13:37","date_gmt":"2007-03-08T19:13:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/contemporaryartetc.com\/2007\/03\/08\/fact-of-the-day-25\/"},"modified":"2007-03-08T19:13:37","modified_gmt":"2007-03-08T19:13:37","slug":"fact-of-the-day-25","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.romulusstudio.com\/cap\/fact-of-the-day-25\/","title":{"rendered":"Art e-Facts 25"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"shibli-1.jpg\" href=\"http:\/\/contemporaryartetc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/03\/shibli-1.jpg\">\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The photographic works of Palestinian artist <strong>Ahlam Shibli<\/strong> (*1970, &#8220;Arab al-Shibli&#8221;, Palestine) deal with current living conditions of the Palestinian population living in Israel and with the various consequences arising from living together in a state of permanent conflict.<\/p>\n<p>Shiblis&#8217; intention to show the everyday life of the Palestinian population requires intensive research on location, interviews with the villagers and the subtle observation of the rural and the urban environment.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">An exhibition of Shiblis work can currently be seen at <strong>Dundee Contemporary Art Centre<\/strong> <strong>until April 1st<\/strong>.
